Why buy three?
The most common thing our customers say about this pack is that it lives in the bathroom cupboard or the first aid kit, and there is always the right one to hand. That is the real argument for it.
The three gels are not interchangeable. They use the same medical-grade ozone but different carrier oils, and the carrier changes strength, texture and how fast the gel absorbs. A sticky gel that stays on a toenail overnight is the wrong thing for your face; a gel that vanishes into facial skin in under a minute is the wrong thing for a stubborn patch on a heel. Most households end up using all three for different jobs.
It is also the sensible way to find out which suits you. Skin varies, and the honest answer to "which one should I get?" is often "try them and see".
What's in the pack
| Gel | Feel | What customers use it for |
|---|---|---|
|
Hemp strongest · slowest to absorb |
Thick and sticky, stays exactly where you put it, absorbs slowly | Fungal nails, stubborn or thickened patches, slow-healing and infected wounds - anywhere that benefits from prolonged contact. Some people find it too strong for sensitive or acutely inflamed skin |
|
Olive medium · balanced absorption |
Spreads easily over larger areas, slight protective residue | Cuts, grazes and burns, bed sores, eczema on the body, fungal skin, dry and weathered areas, gums, aches and stiff joints, everyday moisturising. Our most-reviewed and most versatile gel |
|
Jojoba gentle · fastest to absorb |
Absorbs fastest of all four, leaves no greasy film | Faces, daily moisturising, sensitive and reactive skin, facial and children's eczema, lips, minor cuts and grazes. The mildest of the range |
Which one for eczema?
Our most common question, and a good illustration of why the pack makes sense. Customers report using all three for eczema, and the right one depends on where and how severe. Jojoba comes up most for faces, children and sensitive skin. Olive for eczema on the body and larger areas. Hemp for stubborn, thickened patches that haven't responded to something milder. With the pack you have all three, so you can start gentle and go stronger only if you need to.
A typical week in a household
- Jojoba on faces, morning and night. It absorbs in under a minute, so you can dress or put makeup on straight after
- Olive on hands, arms and legs, and for the everyday grazes, burns and dry patches. This is the jar that empties first
- Hemp on the one stubborn thing - a nail, a heel, a patch that won't shift - applied before bed so it stays put overnight
Why ozone needs an oil
Ozone gas is highly unstable. It breaks down within minutes, which means it cannot be bottled or usefully applied to skin on its own.
Bubbling it slowly through a vegetable oil solves that. Ozone reacts with the double bonds in the oil's unsaturated fatty acids to form stable ozonide compounds, which hold their activity for months when kept cool and release active oxygen gradually once applied to skin. How much ozone an oil can hold depends on how unsaturated it is - which is why hemp, the most unsaturated of the three, makes the strongest gel, and jojoba the mildest. What the research shows
The findings below are about ozonated oils as a class of substance, not about these jars. Study design, sample size and limitations are stated so you can judge the evidence yourself. The individual product pages carry the full detail.
How the field grades the evidence
The Madrid Declaration on Ozone Therapy (4th edition, 2025), the consensus document of the International Scientific Committee of Ozone Therapy, grades topically applied ozonated oils at Level B - reasonable scientific evidence that benefits outweigh risks - for nail fungus, athlete's foot, ringworm, psoriasis vulgaris, atopic dermatitis, pressure ulcers, chronic wounds and infected burn wounds.
Antimicrobial activity - laboratory
A 2020 review in Molecules (Ugazio and colleagues) reported minimum inhibitory concentrations of 1.18-9.5 mg/mL against bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus and MRSA, and 0.2-0.53 µg/mL against Candida. Nearly all in vitro - measured on culture plates, not skin. Read our summary.
Antifungal activity - laboratory
Ouf and colleagues (Brazilian Journal of Microbiology, 2016) exposed five dermatophyte species to ozonised oil, cutting spore formation by 97-99% in the most susceptible species. A laboratory study on cultures, not a trial in people. Read our summary.
Wound healing - review of mixed evidence
Anzolin and colleagues (Medical Gas Research, 2020) reviewed 28 articles on topical ozonated oil, finding it repeatedly associated with faster wound closure, lower microbial load and modulated inflammation. Most underlying studies were animal models or small case series. Read our summary.
Chronic wounds - systematic review in humans
Fitzpatrick and colleagues (International Wound Journal, 2018) reviewed nine human studies covering 453 participants. All reported improved wound closure against standard care or baseline. Only four were randomised controlled trials, and the authors concluded no single trial is conclusive on its own. Read our summary.
An honest note: the clinical studies of ozonated oils use olive, sunflower or camellia oil. There is essentially no published research on ozonated hemp or ozonated jojoba specifically. The differences between the three gels rest on the chemistry of the carrier and on what customers report, not on head-to-head trials.
How to use
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin. A little goes a long way with all three.
- Jojoba: a pea-sized amount covers the whole face. Morning and night
- Olive: a thin layer, 2-3 times daily on the area you're treating; as needed for moisturising
- Hemp: a rice-grain amount for a spot, a pea-sized amount for a nail or rough patch. Best applied before bed
Patch test each one on a small area first. For serious or deep wounds, or serious burns, see a healthcare professional.
Questions people ask
Which should I try first?
Start with the gentlest that suits the job. Jojoba for anything on a face or on sensitive skin, Olive for general use and larger areas, Hemp only when something milder hasn't worked. You can always go stronger; going gentler after an irritation is harder.
Can I use them together?
Yes. Different gels on different areas in the same routine is normal. Some customers also blend Hemp with Olive or Jojoba to soften its texture while keeping some of the strength.
How long will the pack last?
Three 50g jars used for different jobs typically last a household two to four months. Olive usually runs out first. Use each within 12 months of opening.
Is this a good gift?
It is one of our most popular gifts - three glass jars, nothing synthetic, and useful to almost anyone. Customers most often buy it for parents and for people who spend a lot of time outdoors.
What if I want the glycerine one too?
The 4 Pack adds our water-soluble Glycerine gel, which does things the oils cannot - it dilutes in water, works in the mouth and on gums, and is the one with published evidence behind its use on age spots. Also 20% off.
Storage
Keep cool, dry and out of direct light. Refrigeration extends shelf life and preserves ozone potency. The gels may firm up when cold - let them return to room temperature before use. Use within 12 months of opening.
