Ozone Cupping - How To Target Problem Areas

Ozone Therapy Made Easy

Many people reading this blog are already familiar with the benefits of ozone therapy and all the science which backs up this discipline.

A lesser known ozone therapy technique is ozone cupping. Ozone cupping is a home ozone therapy protocol designed to deliver ozone gas to the body in a way that provides a localised benefit.

How can Ozone Cupping support your health?

Silicon ozone cups

Cupping is used to introduce ozone directly to a specific point on the skin to target infections or the organs beneath the surface.

This method has been found to be especially effective in treating poorly-healing wounds, abrasions, skin infections, herpes, decubitus ulcers, cysts, fungal skin infections, burns and radiodermatitis. People have reported success using ozone cupping to support their healing as a complementary healing aid for breast cancer.

All you need to do is connect the correct size silicon cup to the OZONODE medical ozone generator and let it run for the specified time.

This video outlines the conditions that ozone cupping can support, the equipment needed to administer ozone cupping and how to perform this safely and effectively at home.

Video Transcript:

Welcome to the Natural Ozone YouTube Channel. My name is Kim Saxton, director of Natural Ozone, a Kiwi company dedicated to helping you harness the many benefits of ozone.

Please note, this video is not intended as personal medical advice. For all medical issues, please consult your health professional. Ozone therapy does have a firm scientific basis, in fact there are over 11 000 scientific articles related to ozone therapy on the Pub Med data base in the USA.

In this video, we will discuss how to perform ozone cupping

Why perform ozone cupping?

Cupping is used to introduce ozone directly to a specific point on the skin to target infections or the organs beneath the surface.

What conditions does ozone cupping support?

Please note: Natural Ozone do not claim that this protocol will cure any conditions. There is a wealth of scientific data which you can access through the Natural Ozone study library to help guide your decision making. We always recommend that you follow the advice of your chosen health practitioner.

People have reported success using ozone cupping as a complementary therapy to support their healing with conditions including skin infections, gut health, live detoxification and as a complementary healing aid for breast cancer.

There are no known side-effects of ozone cupping when conducted according to the protocols

Home ozone therapy equipment needed to perform ozone cupping

To perform ozone cupping you will need the following equipment:

  • Natural Ozone Home Ozone Therapy Protocol Handbook
Ozone treatment protocols

 Oxygen bottles

Silicon ozone cups
  • Small fan or activated carbon mask
These items are available in our ozone therapy bundles.

How to perform ozone cupping at home using medical home ozone therapy equipment

Connect the oxygen supply to the O2 in nozzle at the back of your Ozonode. We have separate videos on setting this up depending on whether you are using an oxygen concentrator or bottled oxygen. So, if this is the first time you are using your home ozone therapy equipment, please visit the appropriate video.

You will see that your OZONODE has a three-position switch marked M1, off, and M2. When we use the settings one to four, we have the switch on M1 and use the outlet marked O3 out 1

When we use the settings five or six, we turn the switch to M2 and the outlet marked O3 out 2.

Ensure that the Ozonode is plugged in and switched on at the wall. Set the power switch to M1

Which level setting you will use depends on the concentration of ozone that you intend using.

This is measured in micrograms per litre, also called gamma.

Refer to the chart on your machine to determine which level and flow rate correspond with the gamma you require.

Please consult your health practitioner for personal medical advice. In the protocol handbook, we pass on the general advice from the Madrid Declaration on Ozone Therapy from the International Scientific Committee of Ozone Therapy.

It is always advised to start low and slowly build up the dosage over a long period of time. In this case, we are going to make medical ozone at 26 gamma with a flow rate of 1/8 litre/minute. Referring to the chart, we can see that we need the setting L1.

If you are using an oxygen concentrator, allow 5 minutes for it to warm up, then turn the knob on the low flow meter until the ball is hovering around 1/8.

If you are using a gas bottle, turn on the tap and then adjust the low flow regulator to 1/8

Connect the silicon tube to the outlet marked O3 out 1

Select the correct size ozone cup to cover only the area you wish to treat

Connect the other end of the silicon tube to the barb on your ozone cup.

You will see here that the ozone cup has a built-in ozone destruct mechanism. That means that any excess ozone will be converted back to oxygen. If you are concerned about any ozone leaking into the air, you can choose to wear an activated carbon mask or else point a small fan at your face during the treatment.

I bought this mask at the local hardware store for a few dollars.

    Press the button L1

Allow two minutes for the machine to warm up

Moisten the area you wish to treat with a warm flannel then press the cup against your skin forming a good seal.

Keep the cup sealed against your skin for the allotted time period as per your health professional’s advice. In the Protocol Handbook, we recommend that you start with 20 minutes 2 to 3 times per week.

Remember to switch off the machines and turn off your oxygen supply.

Wash and sterilise the cup before storing.
