Summary:
In conclusion, at the dose and number of sessions used in this study, ozone therapy by rectal insufflation seems to be beneficial mainly for the physical symptoms of fibromyalgia, though anxiety and depression also improved. The current results suggest that further evaluation of ozone therapy in fibromyalgia, if possible with a controlled design, will be worth performing.
